After reading this first book I was drawn to get the next one so I could keep the story going. I loved the richness of the characters, particularly the uniqueness of their supernatural qualities. It was also exceptionally well written. I can tell you right away that I will read the whole series and I am sure that you will too!

I've been anxiously awaiting the release of this book series. It was well written and the storyline captivated my interest the entire time I was reading it. I am now waiting for the second book.
Great writing matched with a story that aims itself squarely and cock-eyed at the same time in the direction of the big questions in life. How can you beat that.
This book captured my full attention within the first 6 pages. The author paints each scene with vivid detail. Each thought is important and piece-by-piece, you learn important information on the key characters Riley and Peach and a few others.

This novella book is extremely well-written. It has perfect flow and has surprising twists and key points that you don't see coming. There is not a dull moment.

You read from both Riley and Peach's point of view throughout and witness the historic prequel story to the Last Scribe. I absolutely recommend this novella if you're a lover of excellent series. I am very excited for the following prequels to be released!
I enjoyed the mixture of fantasy and realism. I truly wish the author wrote more to the storyline without having to look for the next book to continue
Irin is a solid piece of writing by R. Lee Walsh. It consistently held my interest, not always an easy task. Descriptions of places, characters and scenes are vivid and memorable. Dialogue is smooth and realistic.
This novella is packed with action and fantastic characters. This was one of those "impulse" selections, based solely on the cover. I didn't think I'd be hooked into the entire series, but I can't wait to read more.
In the increasingly diluted and hackneyed world that is “modern science fiction," new authors and old tales are a dime-a-dozen. Fortunately, with this first installment of The Last Scribe series, R. Lee Walsh rises above that paradigm and creates a very new, relatable world of fantastic and powerful, yet believable, characters. With such an original storyline and edge-of-your-seat character and plot development, I'm certain it will only be a short time until The Last Scribe becomes a force to be reckoned with in the modern literary world. Upon finishing a read-through of “Irin” I could not help but wonder at how quickly I had become attached to the characters, their struggles, and their stories. This build-up to strong intra- and interpersonal conflicts that is sure to come has left me wanting more and more. I cannot wait for the next book!
