Having read the other two books in the series, I was quite looking forward to Cecily's story, however, I was majorly let down. **SPOILERS** Literally, the story was so boring. After hearing about how much of troublemaker and mischievous character she was, I was expecting some adventure and really great dialogue. Sadly, there was none. Cecily comes off as immature and stubborn, not endearing at all. Also, there was no real plot. One minute Rand meets her and BOOM he's in love with her and determined he's going to marry her and then just as suddenly she decides to not be a coward and to love him on top of her original intended running off with her maid...what, what?! It was just all so disjointed. So, so disappointed.

I enjoyed the book, but it could have used more imagination than the trite and the true. I really like Ms. Brooke's books, but I hope she doesn't start "sleep walking" through them.
The characters were great. Plot could have had more substance. But would recommend the artist work. And read her other books.
Not my favorite in the series,but very good.Want Christina Brooke to finish the series with Andrews story,please!.
I liked the h from the previous book and hoped for something lively and entertaining in this story. Unfortunately what we got was a stubborn and immature girl, who pressed on with her plans for an arranged marriage despite having found a wonderful H desperate to marry her. She had no real reason to justify what she was doing aside from plain stubbornness. The H was wonderful and single minded in his pursuit of her but I agree with the other reviewer who said that he would have been better off with someone else.

I hope the next book in the series will be better.
If you have read any of my other reviews, I do like a little intrigue/mystery in the romance novels I read...it's just my preferred historical romance type. The hero and heroine are funny matching wits together, which they do quite often. This is a nice read,and the intrigue with the letter is a nice touch as well. You'll like this book.
Love Ms Brooke’s writing but...I didn’t like the main heroine ...I tried but she was irritating and I really didn’t like her at all through the entire book. Didn’t like her character in any of the series either...the other characters were wonderful..but...she not so much..
I read the reviews and I bought the book anyway. After reading the other two books in the series, I decided to go for the last one. I read the reviews. I read the bad ones first. I vacillated between buying the book or letting it go. Do I really want to read a book that loses the plot? That will make me want to smack someone? Hmm.... But I didn't feel like looking for something else, so I bought it. And I am happy I did.

I felt like the heroine was in character throughout the entire book. It was a roller-coaster ride, like real life. I devoured the book in about two hours. I never felt like the book lost the plot. It was enjoyable and one I will probably read again.

I would recommend getting the first two books before reading "A Duchess to Remember", just so you know the characters, but you don't have to. And I would recommend this book to my friends who read this genre.
