I am a huge fan of R.J Larson. I am an avid reader and have been since around age 4. I enjoy clean, classic storytelling with complex characters and interesting plots. I read her novel Prophet and I was hooked! It has become one of my all time favorite novels. As with her other books, Larson allows God to speak through her storytelling. I am in awe of her ability to share scripture in such a unique and fresh way. I appreciate the fact that personal relationship with God is stressed throughout this novel, as well as her other works of fiction. This novel caused me to really examine my commitment level to Christ. I thoroughly enjoyed Valor, and I highly recommend it!

this the book I am currently reading and love it
All R.J. Larson's books are amazing. I could stay up all night just to read through the story. It's hard to put down!
As always, Larson delivers an incredible story. My only dislike was that it’s a sad story, but it’s an excellent story! This story will keep your thoughts long after you e finished reading it.
Does anyone know the meaning of Valor? Read this book and keep your handkerchief close by, Follow the INFINITE to find true Valor
Wonderful story overall but the last 5 or so chapters were quite the surprise. I have read the Old Testament story many times of the warrior who brashly gave an oath to God that whatever came to meet him when he arrived home would be sacrificed to Him. My heart always broke. I accept it but didn't understand it. This story brings to light incredible insight that I had never considered and will cherish from now on. Thank you RJ Larson!

Valor is a story of unparalleled courage in the face of life's uncertainties, the evils of pride, self-righteousness and the desire to dictate what was never ours to control that we visit upon self & each other every day.

And, while it rocked...

It bled...

Then, it made me cry.
This is the last in the series. I enjoyed the obvious biblical parallels, the dramatic descriptions, the challenges the characters wrestled with. This story deals with how various cultures define what is divine, what is honorable, and what is reprehensible. I enjoyed how the Invisible made Himself visible, and revealed that only He was really God. The characters have to deal with prophecies, family expectations, cultural pressures and personal choices throughout in struggles familiar to all who enjoy this kind of fantasy. I loved how the outcasts were brought back in and how the characters were challenged to forgive those who were cowardly or who had failed. The book is well named.
